The
format of The Franklin Montessori School is based on the Montessori
concept of education. Its main objective is to provide both creative
and stimulating intellectual, artisitic, and developmental experiences
for the two year old, pre-school and kindergarten child. The classroom
is comprised of six interrelated areas: Practical
Life, Sensorial, Language,
Mathematics, Social
Studies, and Science. The daily routine
is complemented by a full range of cultural experiences including:
drama, music, nature studies, cooking, art, and field trips.
The Franklin Montessori School community awareness programs focus
on helping the community. Events are scheduled throughout the
year to raise awareness and support for this cause. Family
involvement is vital to the success of these programs.
The Franklin Montessori School strives to instill in each child a sense of
acceptance and understanding through our diverse learning enviroment.
The school is non-denominational and does not discriminate on the
basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sexual orientation,
or disability in the admission of students, employment of faculty
or administation of policies.
