Early Risers
Children eat breakfast, enjoy traditional play materials
and help teachers prepare the classroom for the day’s
activities.

| 8:30-9:30 |
Morning Montessori
Children receive lessons and begin their Montessori work time.
|
| 9:30-12:15 |
Class time
Children explore the prepared environment, receiving
lessons and working independently. The children explore math, language, sensorial, practical life, art, drama, music and the Beyond the Walls nature program.
Playground and Gym time
Lunch/Dismissal. Children in the half-day program
are dismissed while children in the extended day program
eat lunch.

Quiet Afternoons
(for children under four years)
Children under four years of age sleep in the nap room. After their rest, the children eat snack
and enjoy a story or song at group time.

Montessori Afternoons
(for children four and older)
Children continue their work day with a stronger emphasis on Math, Language, Social Studies and Science.
Playground and Gym time

| 3:30-6:00 |
After School Class/Dismissal
Children not going home at 3:30 spend the afternoon playing
on the playground, visiting our local park Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, enjoying arts
and crafts projects, cooking, reading stories, playing games and
using traditional play materials.
